With the EmbryoScope time-lapse system, embryos are monitored at regular time intervals throughout their culture. Compared to standard culture, the frequency of viewing the embryo development outside the incubator is reduced. Embryos are thus less exposed to possible undesirable physical or chemical influences from the external environment.
By culturing embryos in the EmbryoScope time-lapse incubator, embryo developmental parameters can be more easily captured compared to culturing in a standard incubator, making the selection of embryos for embryo transfer or cryopreservation more accurate.
The recording from the camera system is evaluated by an experienced embryologist. Based on the information obtained, embryos with the highest developmental potential are selected. These embryos are either transferred or cryopreserved.
