The comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) method investigates chromosomal aberrations by comparing the fluorescence intensities of two DNA probes with different fluorescence labelling - DNA of the patient and a healthy individual.
CGH enables the detection of quantitative changes in the genome and the loss or excess of genetic material, especially in patients with oncological diseases.
